Board & Train
Each dog is an individual. It's learning style is unique and your goals for your dog are individual to you and your dog. We believe in looking at each dog as an individual and working with you to create a training plan that is specific to your dog, your goals and your needs.

As a homeschool family, we spend a lot of time gathered around the table learning together. Your dog will be incorporated into this lifestyle and learn to live life with us in a real home with real distractions.

Philosphy
We believe training should be one of the most fun times in a dog's life. We start by teaching new behaviors through food luring, some free shaping and positive reinforcement. We find that many naughty, unwanted behaviors will disappear when we show our dogs how to consistently execute the good behaviors to receive rewards like attention, food and toys. We believe that correction is valid but must be fair. A part of fairness of correction is the ability to avoid the correction. Correction is generally used to proof obedience and if needed eliminate behaviors like counter surfing. Many dogs in our board and train program no longer attempt naughty behaviors like counter surfing because they are so dedicated to the good obedience like holding their place behavior in the house.

Every aspect of our approach to training revolves around building your dog's confidence so they may live their best life with you.
FAQ
Q: Where does my dog sleep at night?
A: Every dog sleeps in its own crate in our home. All crates are covered to ensure each dog is calm and rests well. All dogs sleep inside at night. We've converted our garage into a temperature controlled, heated and AC'ed space both for training and resting.

A: Yes, we do. As a responsible German Shepherd breeder, we know how to many intact working dogs and dogs in heat so that everyone is safe and has a good experience.

Q: What should I bring with my dog?
A: We provide all the essentials for your dog's stay. This includes crates, bedding, dishes, indestructible toys, training rewards and more. If your dog has a favorite toy or a favorite treat or chew, you are welcome to bring it with. While we provide Diamond Natural Lamb or Salmon Kibble, you are welcome to bring your own kibble if you would like to keep your dog on its normal kibble.

Q: How should I bring my dog's food?
A: Please bring all food in air tight storage containers.

Q: My dog eats raw or fresh food. Will you feed my dog its raw or fresh food?
A: No, we do not accept raw or fresh diets for dogs in our care. Unfortunately, we are not able to ensure how a food is handled from the time of purchase to your home and then transported to us. The risk of bacteria from improperly handled food is not a risk we are willing to take with your dog. The risk of cross contamination is also not a risk we are willing to accept for the other dogs in our care.

Q: May I visit my dog?
A: Absolutely. While your dog is with us for training, all of our group obedience classes are included. You may register for as many classes as you are able to attend, learn how your dog is being trained, work your dog and visit during class times.

Q: How will I receive updates on my dog's training progress?
A: We will set up a google drive folder and share weekly video updates of your dog learning while with us. We also include a wealth of pictures and short clips of your dog working in our home and in the real world.
